Frequently Asked Questions – Aurora Oral Radiology
How long will it take to receive my report?
Finalized reports are typically delivered within 3-5 business days from the time we receive the case.
Is expedited reporting available?
Yes. An expedited report is available for an additional $50 fee. Delivered the next business day after successful upload of the case.
Do we bill the patient directly?
No. We bill the referring dental office per report. It is at the discretion of the office to bill the patient. Please ensure that the credit card provided belongs to the dental office, not the patient.
Is insurance reimbursement available?
Yes. While Aurora Oral Radiology does not file insurance claims on behalf of providers or patients, reports may be eligible for reimbursement. We encourage the referring provider to submit claims using the appropriate codes:
CDT/Dental: D0391 – Interpretation of diagnostic image by a practitioner not associated with capture of the image, including report
CPT/Medical: 76140 – Consultation on x-ray examination made elsewhere, written report
Is technical assistance available for using the secure case upload portal?
Yes. For any questions while using the secure portal, please contact us at admin@auroraoralradiology.com.
Can I contact the radiologist directly?
Absolutely. We encourage referring practitioners to reach out with any case-related questions. There is no additional fee for this consultation.
